A little late to post about our 11 month anniversary but better late then never.
So much has happened in these eleven months and I wanted to properly commemorate the occasion so I ordered another photobook but this one just included pictures that where not included in the last photobook. The pictures included in this photobook where all taken in the time between photobooks. There weren’t many photos but there where some good ones, you can see them here. I also used a lot of our photos and a cool tool from flagrant disregard to create a CD cover. This CD cover was to be used to gift Josie a Mix CD of the greatest love songs of all time. I also prepared a CD Label to be placed on the CD itself with a picture of us. And last but not least I prepared one of my famous mini greeting cards. I was pressed for time so I looked up a very good love poem and wrote it iin by hand. I ofcourse gave credit to the author.
So our anniversary date fell on the same day the church was to go on a trip to Philadelphia for the council’s children’s convention. So I setup to give her all three gifts in different ways, all of the on the fly, meaning I had to think of ways to give it to her right on the spot without her noticing and it was going to be tough since we would be inside my car for most of the day, she being right next to me.
She was anxious all week in anticipation of what I would do for her on this day and I did not dissapoint. First I gave her the card and photobook, which I placed in the glove compartment. I asked her to get something for me in there and boom there it was. She looked at me and gave me that beautiful smile. She opened the card and smiled even more. Then she started flipping through the pages of the photobook and started making comments. She loved it and was laughing at the pictures. She was happy but I wasn’t done. Now I had to give her the CD.
About halfway to Philly I took the opportunity that she was a little distracted and put the CD in the passenger side sun visor. I knew from many, many previous times that she flips it down to look at herself in the little mirror. It was actually already flipped down and I had to flip it up and place the CD all without her noticing, and I did it. A few moments later she flips it down and down came the CD with cover and all right into her lap, but she was so distracted with something else that she did not notice right away. I looked in total shock as she didn’t even stop to see what came down. A few minutes later she looks at the CD Cover and hits me on the shoulder and screams at me “How did you do that? How did you put that in there?” All I could do was laugh. It was so much fun. She looked at all the pictures and smile once more. She opened it up and saw the custom label and looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes, she was in total awe; I was so glad she was happy. Josie loves love songs and when I popped in the CD for her listening pleasure she totally loved it. We sang along to the best romantic ballads of all time the rest of the way to Philly.
Baby I will always love you, don’t ever forget that.
