Photo Retouching – Getting rid of red eye w/ PhotoShop

Found this little yet very good tip at Photo Retouching – Getting rid of red eye. – RetouchPRO and had to post it, for my own records but also for those of you who also might need it.

In RGB mode. Make a rough selection around the pupil with the lasso tool. Got to the channels palette and click on the red channel (make it active). Then go to Image > apply image > and make the source channel “green”. Target blending to “DARKEN”. Click “OK” No need to make precise selections or feathering or desaturating, painting. And that’s it.
